The multibillion-dollar nicotine pouch industry, led by brands like Zyn, has inspired a new trend in the cannabis sector: THC-infused pouches. Companies like Cannadips and Juana Dips are pioneering this innovative delivery method, capitalizing on the popularity of nicotine pouches to bring cannabis to a wider audience.

Cannadips, founded by Cliff Sammet and Case Mandel, was the first to market with cannabis-infused pouches in 2016. The idea was born from Sammet's experience with snus pouches and his desire to create a discreet, smokeless cannabis product. Initially targeting a niche audience, Cannadips has expanded its reach, selling in dispensaries in California and Arkansas, with plans to enter Missouri and Kentucky soon.

Cannadips' success is evident in its revenue growth, exceeding $7 million last year, with hopes to double that figure this year. The company's products come in various flavors, similar to Zyn, and are manufactured in California's Emerald Triangle, renowned for high-quality cannabis. Cannadips also offers CBD and hemp-derived products, available online and in select gas stations.

Jesse Loughman's Juana Dips, launched in 2024, is another player in this emerging market. Based in Colorado, Juana Dips has seen rapid growth, from $10,000 in its first month to $1.2 million annually. Loughman is exploring licensing deals to expand into more states.

Industry insiders believe THC pouches represent the future of cannabis consumption, offering a healthier alternative to smoking. Casey Flippo, CEO of Darkhorse Cannabis, notes that THC pouches are the most innovative product on his shelves, with sales increasing significantly since their introduction.

While THC pouches are still a small part of the $32 billion cannabis market, their popularity is growing. As Mandel puts it, "We are working towards a goal of being the bioactive pouch pioneer." With the success of nicotine pouches as a model, cannabis companies are poised to capitalize on this trend, potentially revolutionizing how people consume cannabis.
