Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, has previously highlighted the potential of Gaza's waterfront property, suggesting that Israel should relocate Gaza civilians to the Negev Desert. However, these ideas have been widely criticized for disregarding the rights and sovereignty of the Palestinian people.
As American, Israeli, and Arab negotiators begin talks on a second phase of a ceasefire plan for Gaza, the future of the territory remains uncertain. The recent ceasefire has shown promise, with several Israeli hostages freed and Hamas regaining political control.
